Northwich will once again be transformed in to a spectacular winter wonderland for the festive season as the Northwich Christmas Extravaganza returns for 2017! Created in partnership between The Northwich BID, Northwich Town Council and NIRA, Northwich will be illuminated on Saturday 25th November with the grand Christmas Light Switch on and a whole host of exciting other activities and events taking place throughout the day.

Dragon Boat Race 31st July 2016 Back for 2016! Join 20 teams battling to compete in the St. Rocco’s Dragon Boat Race on the River Mersey at Warrington Rowing Club. “The brave men did not kill dragons.  The brave men rode them.”                                                                                      (Game of Thrones)  St. Rocco’s Hospice's Dragon Boat Race is a fantastic team building opportunity to fundraise for St. Rocco’s Hospice whilst competing against other local teams on the River Mersey. Dragon Boat Racing has established itself as one of the country’s favourite mass participation water sports; so if you haven’t tried it before - now is your chance! This year's event takes place on Sunday 31st July 2016, at Warrington Rowing Club and is now a staple on the social calendar for local business This is a charity event supported by GetGuideService, so nor the charity organisation, nor the attendee pay anything tor that event to GetGuideService. In order to support an important charity organisation: St Rocco's Hospice in Warrington I decided to promote an wonderfull, special event. The Starlight Walk is a sponsored ladies-only walk which begins at midnight at the Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub. The walk follows a route through Latchford, Orford and Warrington Town Centre, finishing back at the Hub (with a bacon buttie waiting!) You choose the distance!
